StartUp Britain is a national campaign by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs, harnessing the expertise and passion of Britain’s leading businesspeople to unleash entrepreneurship across the UK. The campaign is run by the Centre for Entrepreneurs think tank and supported by Natwest, 123 Reg and .uk.
Founded by eight entrepreneurs and launched in March 2011 by the Prime Minister, StartUp Britain is completely private sector funded, and was launched in response to the government’s call for an ‘enterprise led’ recovery.
How we do this:
We are passionate about promoting entrepreneurship and its benefits to our economy and we do this by highlighting the myriad of support that is available to those who wish to start or grow a business, galvanising support where we see a demand and by acting as a voice for small businesses to government.
On our website you will find:
- An interactive map to find local support in your area, from accelerators to enterprise support organisations;
- Online resources to help you start and grow your own business;
- Information on our StartUp Britain bus which tours the country to give business advice to aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs.
How you can get involved:
If you want to get involved and support the country’s future entrepreneurs by offering funding, putting on an event or becoming a volunteer for our bus tour, we would love to hear from you.
If you would like to know anything else about the campaign, please do not hesitate to contact us via email@example.com.
